ORLANDO, Fla. – A 46-year-old Orlando man lying in the middle of a road was struck by an SUV and killed Wednesday morning in Orange County, authorities said.
The fatal crash happened on Turkey Lake Road near Sand Lake Road in Orlando. The man's name has not been released.
It's not known why the man was lying in the road, but the Florida Highway Patrol said it's not believed that he had been previously hit by another car.
The driver who ran the man over was not injured and cooperated with troopers. He will not face any charges, FHP said.
An investigation is ongoing.
