MELBOURNE, Fla. – A Melbourne man was arrested Wednesday night on allegations of leaving the scene of a crash after he was involved in a three-car wreck.

Stanley Jones, 54, faces charges of driving under intoxication with two prior convictions, driving on a suspended license, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and leaving the scene of a crash with personal injury, according to Melbourne police.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. in the area of Croton Road and Eau Gallie Boulevard.

According to police, witnesses said Jones rear-ended a vehicle, pushing it into another car, damaging both.

Jones was found near his home and was taken into custody, police said. His blood alcohol level was .204 and .211 when two tests were conducted, which is more than twice the legal limit, according to police.

The driver of one of the vehicles that was struck was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jones was booked into the Brevard County Jail on $24,000 bond.
