NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – A man riding a scooter was airlifted to a hospital early Friday after being involved in a crash in Volusia County, police said.
The crash was reported around 1:25 a.m. on Washington Street near Old Fort Park in New Smyrna Beach.

Police said the rider suffered a head injured and was taken to Halifax Hospital by Volusia County Sheriff's Office Air One helicopter.
The man was listed in stable condition.
No other details have been released.
An investigation is continuing.
