The fatal crash happened around 5:15 a.m. Monday on S.R. 408 east near Ortman Drive. All eastbound lanes of S.R. 408 were closed for more than three hours, and traffic was forced to exit at Kirkman Road. The roadway reopened around 8:35 a.m.

Troopers said the driver of a 2003 GMC Envoy lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail. Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle, and one of them died at the scene, the FHP said.

The driver and another passenger were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, the FHP said.

All three victims are males, but their names and ages have not been released.
