Brush fire prompts warning for Central Florida drivers

Smoke could cut visibilities along U.S. 1, troopers say

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol troopers have issued a warning to drivers in Flagler and Volusia counties, as smoke from a brush fire could lead to visibility issues.

Troopers say smoke could cut visibility along U.S. 1.

The highway patrol says a fire is burning off the road near the Plantation Bay subdivision.

It's just one of several brush fires reported in Central Florida.

Firefighters also battled a brush fire off State Road 520 in Orange County on Sunday.

A brush fire was also reported in Brevard County, not far from the airport. Firefighters say it burned about 10 acres near I-95.
