Power line struck by semi lands on I-95 in Volusia County, FHP says

Incident shuts down northbound lanes near mile marker 263

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The northbound lanes of I-95 were shut down after a semi-truck struck a power line, causing it to land on the interstate, troopers said.

It happened Thursday evening near mile marker 263 in Volusia County.

The semi-truck was not at the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol said it may be because the truck did not know it struck the power line.

Troopers were working with crews to move the line from the roadway.

Only the left lane was still blocked Thursday night.
