FHP: Driver sought in fatal Osceola hit-and-run arrested

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol said it has arrested a driver wanted in a fatal hit-and-run last year in Osceola County.

Alexander Marquis Valentin, 21, of Kissimmee, was arrested Thursday.

Troopers said Valentin who they say struck and killed Quinten Reyes, 51, of Kissimmee, who was riding his bike to work in August 2015.

The FHP said Thursday that Valentin was confirmed as the driver of a Mazda 6 that hit Reyes, using DNA and surveillance video from multiple sources.

He was granted $25,000 bond Friday morning and was ordered not to leave Orange or Osceola counties.
