2 injured in crash on I-4 in Orlando

I-4 east reopens hours after 2-vehicle wreck

ORLANDO, Fla. – A two-vehicle crash shut down Interstate 4 in Orlando early Friday.

Orlando police said an officer was traveling eastbound on I-4 near Conroy Road and John Young Parkway when the crash occurred ahead of him.

One driver was unconscious and trapped in the vehicle, while the other driver was conscious and alert, police said.

Orlando firefighters extricated the unconscious driver, and both victims were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Their conditions are not known.

I-4 east was completely closed from Conroy to John Young Parkway, but the interstate reopened hours later.
