1 dies in Osceola County crash, FHP says

Troopers investigate single-vehicle wreck near Harmony High School

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash Friday morning in Osceola County in which a 70-year-old man was killed.

The single-vehicle wreck was reported around 10:15 a.m. on U.S. 192 and  Arthur J. Gallagher Boulevard, near Harmony High School.

Troopers said Charles Baker of Palm Bay was driving west on U.S. 192 when he lost control and crossed the center median. Baker then traveled across the eastbound lanes and into a ditch, according to the Highway Patrol. The car flipped over and Baker was ejected.

The Highway Patrol said Baker was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
