Pedestrian dies in hit-and-run crash in Cocoa Beach, police say

Fatal crash reported on South Orlando Avenue

COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A 37-year-old Cocoa Beach man was killed early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run crash, police said.

Brian Holley was on South Orlando Avenue at 4:15 a.m. when he was struck and killed, Cocoa Beach police Sgt. Manny Hernandez said.

Holley's body was found in the middle of the 200 block of South Orlando Avenue, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Traffic homicide investigators are looking for information on the car that struck Holley and its driver.

The description they have for a vehicle of interest in the case is a white, four-door pickup that was towing a center-console boat with a dark hull, Hernandez said.

South Orlando Avenue is a one-way road with traffic all going south in the residential stretch where the fatality happened.
