Teen struck, killed in DeLand, police say

DeLAND, Fla. – An 18-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday night in DeLand, police said.

Connor A. Posea, of DeLand, died in the crash, which was reported at 11:07 p.m near the 800 block of East International Speedway Boulevard, police said.

An early investigation by police stated that a red Ford Mustang driven by a 28-year-old man was traveling west on U.S. 92 and struck Posea, who was trying to cross the highway, officials said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

No charges have been filed.
