Car crashes through Sanford wall, flips

Driver injured; at least 3 parked cars damaged

SANFORD, Fla. – A driver was rushed to a hospital early Friday after she crashed along U.S. Highway 17-92 in Sanford, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Denise Bazemore, 35, of Jacksonville, lost control of her 2012 Volkswagen and struck a pole and five other vehicles. Witnesses the car also ran into some trees before slamming through a wall surrounding an apartment complex. The car ended up on its roof. 

Bazemore was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital. The extent of her injuries are not known.

Officers have not said what caused her to lose control of the car.

It's not known if the driver will face any charges. 

Sanford police and Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating.
