The FHP said 40-year-old Angella Moseley was driving a 2002 Toyota Sequoia east on U.S. 192 when the right rear tire sustained tire tread separation. She lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, ejecting Travis Bernard, 15, who was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Bernard is from Montego Bay, Jamaica. The other occupants are from Royal Palm Beach.

Kenneth Reid, 72,  Mavalyn Reid, 66, and Rupert Stone, 51, suffered serious injuries and were taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center, the FHP said.

Moseley, Dean Myles, 35, and two 13-year-old girls suffered minor injuries and were taken to St. Cloud Hospital, troopers said.

The FHP said Moseley and Myles were the only ones wearing their seat belts.

The crash remains under investigation.
