GIBSONTON, Fla. – Three people are dead after a man drove the wrong way on a major interstate on Florida's west coast.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 10 p.m. Thursday on I-75, southeast of Tampa.

Justin Lakin, 21, was driving north in the southbound lanes in a Toyota Corolla when he crashed into a Fort Focus driven by Lashay Waiters, who was 24 years old.
Lakin, Waiters and Waiters' passenger, Yvette Alexandre, were taken to a nearby hospital, where they died. All three were wearing their seat belts.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Waiters graduated from Braden River High School in Bradenton, and Alexandre graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School. They met at the University of Central Florida, family members said.
It's unknown when Lakin began driving the wrong way up the interstate.
