5 injured in I-95 rollover crash in Titusville
Child among victims, officials say
TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Five people, including a teen and a 1-year-old, were injured Monday morning in a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, officials said.
Brevard County Fire Rescue tweeted that the crash occurred on I-95 south near mile marker 220 in Titusville.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Angela Price, 57, of Riviera Beach, was driving a 2007 Nissan sport utility vehicle when she apparently fell asleep. The SUV left the road, struck a pole and overturned near some trees, ejecting a 15-year-old girl, troopers said.
The girl, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando with serious injuries, the FHP said.
Price suffered serious injuries and was taken to Parrish Medical Center, according to the FHP.
The other three victims suffered minor injuries and were also taken to Parrish, the FHP said.
The crash is under investigation.
