St. Cloud roads reopen after package deemed not hazardous

Police asked drivers to avoid 13th Street near Tennessee Avenue

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – A suspicious package that prompted officials to close several roads in St. Cloud has been deemed not hazardous, according to police.

The package, described as a cooler, was discovered Wednesday morning in some bushes outside the PNC Bank at 2500 13th St.

Police said the Orange County bomb squad was called to the scene and determined the cooler was not dangerous.

Several roads were closed in the area, including:

  • 12th Street at Louisiana Avenue
  • 12th Street at Tennessee Avenue
  • 11th Street at Tennessee Avenue
  • 11th Street at Georgia Avenue

The roads were later reopened.
