OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A 31-year-old New Jersey woman was struck and killed late Monday in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The FHP said Carolina Casado, of Elizabeth, died in the crash, which happened around 11:45 p.m. on U.S. 192 near Secret Lake Drive.

Troopers said Casado was crossing the road when she walked into the path of a 2002 Dodge pickup driven by a 49-year-old Davenport man, who had a green light.
The front of the pickup struck Casado, who was taken to South Lake Hospital, where she died, the FHP said.
The crash is under investigation.
