ORLANDO, Fla. - The famous left lane: the lane we all love to use, but should we?

How often have you been traveling down the road and encountered another car going below the speed limit in the left lane?

Technically, the way Florida Statute 316.081 reads, we should all be staying to the right of the road when nothing pushes us to move left. Staying to the right allows for traffic to flow smoothly and for emergency vehicles to have a lane to use when it is available.

Hanging in the left lane could cost you up to $164 and 3 points on your driver's license.
