Fatal crash involving tractor-trailers blocking I-75 in Marion County, troopers say

One person was killed in a crash on I-75 in Marion County Friday involving two tractor-trailers.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – One person was killed Friday afternoon in a crash on I-75 in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash was reported around 1 p.m. on north I-75 at mile marker 372 and caused traffic to back up on the interstate to County Road 318.

Two tractor trailers were involved in the crash, FHP Lt. Patrick Riodan said.

A 38-year-old passenger, David Zablidowsky, of Brooklyn, New York, was killed in the crash, troopers said.

Six others were injured in the crash and taken to local hospitals. Three of those were trauma alerts, Marion County Fire Rescue officials said.
