BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A man is dead after a crash Tuesday afternoon in Brevard County on U.S. 1, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said a truck was heading east on Cidco Road, approaching the intersection with U.S. 1, as an SUV was traveling south on U.S. 1 also heading toward the intersection.

The truck attempted to cross the southbound lanes of U.S. 1 and entered into the path of the SUV. Troopers said the front of the SUV collided with the left side of the truck.
The truck driver was taken to Wuesthoff Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, troopers said. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
The northbound lanes of U.S. 1 were shut down.
The crash remains under investigation.
