Troopers said the railroad crossing arm was down when Robinson drove around it and onto the tracks.

The train hit the trailer attached to the truck and continued north on the tracks, pushing the big rig with it, according to the crash report.

Troopers said the cab and trailer of the big rig separated from the truck and came to a stop after hitting a nearby junction box. The train became derailed after the crash, officials said.

Cocoa police said Robinson was ejected in the crash. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died, officials said.

The train conductor and an engineer were also taken to a nearby hospital, according to police.
