HOBE SOUND, Fla. – A trooper was seriously injured Monday while investigating a crash along Interstate 95 in Florida, authorities said.

Lt. Alvaro Feola said the trooper was standing in a northbound lane of I-95 in Martin County when he was struck by a car.
Feola said the trooper was taken as a trauma alert patient to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
The trooper's name hasn't been released.
