The FHP said Perez was driving an Infiniti G37 northbound on Pica Street when she fell asleep and crashed into the garage of a home on Crosshair Circle. The vehicle struck and destroyed a mailbox before hitting the home, troopers said.

Perez was not injured, but her 22-year-old passenger, a Kissimmee woman, was taken to Osceola Regional Hospital with minor injuries, the FHP said.

No one inside the home was hurt, the FHP said.

Alcohol did not play a role in the crash, officials said.
