Bird strike leaves large dent in American Airlines jet

No injuries reported in incident

SEATTLE, Wash. – A bird strike forced an American Airlines flight to return to the airport after part of the plane was damaged. 

The strike left behind a 2-foot wide dent in the plane's nose. 

The flight was heading to Dallas, from Seattle when the bird strike happened. 

The pilot turned around and went back to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. 

No one on board was hurt.
