'Cheap Flight Day' could provide deep discounts for travelers

Tickets expected to drop as much as 20 percent


ORLANDO, Fla. – If you are looking to get away, Aug. 23 might be the best day to book your next flight because Tuesday is "Cheap Flight Day."

Experts say Aug. 23 is when summer's expensive air fares start to fall as demand drops. 

Travel experts say prices can drop as much as 10 to 20 percent on "Cheap Flight Day." 

As a general rule, frequent fliers say travelers will find the biggest savings when the flights are scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Saturdays.
