2.6 million Floridians to travel during Thanksgiving holiday, AAA says

Most expected to take road trip of 50 miles or more

ORLANDO, Fla. – According to AAA, an estimated 2.6 million Floridians are expected to travel more than 50 miles this holiday season. 

Experts say that is an increase of about 3.2 percent over last year. 

According to AAA, of those traveling to see family and friends during Thanksgiving, about 2.3 million Floridians will get there via road trip. 

However, experts say drivers will pay the highest Thanksgiving gas prices since 2014.

A new report by Hertz shows that Orlando International Airport will be among the busiest airport pick-up locations for rental cars.
