Big weather changes coming to Central Florida

Later in week winds will build

ORLANDO, Fla. – The work week is getting off to a nice start, but big changes are just around the corner.

Monday night will be pleasant early on but in the late night, look for patchy fog to develop. The overnight low in Orlando will drop to 62 degrees.

Tuesday the patchy fog burns away early and the sunshine will return. Look for a nice day with a high of about 82 degrees. Local 6 Chief Meteorologist TOm Sorrells said Tuesday night everything begins to go the other way with a 20 percent chance of rain showers we become breezy with winds coming from the north at 10-15 mph.

Then on Wednesday the winds of change howl, Sorrells said, as a Gale Watch is already posted. Winds are expected of more than 20 mph with gusts up closer to 30 or 40 mph.

Rain chances on Wednesday are 20 percent. The high will really struggle on Wednesday and only reach 66 degrees.

The rest of the week will start the warming trend, Sorrells said. Highs will build each day to 75 on Thursday, 79 on Friday, and hit 82 on Saturday.
