Storms head to Central Florida

Rain chances increase late Monday into Tuesday in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – A new front will bring rain and storms to Central Florida late Monday into Tuesday.

Temperatures on Monday will warm to 87 degrees in Orlando. 

Rain chances stand at 20 percent throughout the day but increase to 50 percent at night.

"Strong wind gusts and lightning will be the main threat for the drive to work Tuesday morning," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

Rain chances remain at 70 percent through Tuesday, with highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday will be sunny and not as hot, with a high of 75 degrees.

Slight rain chances return Sunday, with high temperatures in the low 80s.
