Central Florida sees chilly start; Rain coming later in week

Orlando to see high of 67 on Tuesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a chilly start with temperatures in the 30s and 40 -- and "feel-like" temperatures in the 20s -- there will be a warmup by Tuesday afternoon in Central Florida.

"Temperatures will warm to 67 degrees, with sunny skies to start and a few clouds into the afternoon and evening," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

The average high temperature in Orlando is 72.

"It won't be as cold Wednesday morning as temperatures drop into the 40s and 50s," Bridges said.  "A new front and area of low pressure developing in the Gulf of Mexico will bring a 70 percent chance for rain on Thursday and cooler air on Friday."

Highs will reach the low 60s on Friday.

"But we're warming back to the low 70s for the weekend, with no rain," Bridges added.
