ORLANDO, Fla. – Enjoy Presidents Day -- and the mid-70s -- because big changes are on the way in Central Florida.
High temperatures will warm to 76 degrees Monday afternoon, with clouds and breezy conditions.
"A new front brings rain on Tuesday for the morning drive and will last into the afternoon," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "The coverage of rain will be 70 percent.
Bridges said the Orlando area will dry out and cool down on Wednesday.
"We're warming only to 62 on Wednesday after warming to 78 degrees on Tuesday," Bridges said.
Thursday's morning lows will be in the mid-30s in Orlando, with highs in the mid-50s.
"We'll be dry for all the Speedweeks events Thursday through the weekend," Bridges said.
The region will see highs bounce back to 75 on Saturday and 80 on Sunday, when the Daytona 500 will take place.
