Rain chances on rise in Central Florida

Halloween weekend shaping up nicely

ORLANDO, Fla. – There's a good chance of rain Tuesday in Central Florida, but the Halloween weekend is shaping up nicely.

"Rain chances will increase as we pinpoint an area of low pressure moving in from the west," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "More moisture is tracking in through the Gulf of Mexico."

There will be a 40 percent coverage of rain across the region.

Rain chances will be higher Wednesday, with a 60 percent chance in the Orlando area.

"Rain chances are pretty much out of the forecast for Thursday and Friday," Bridges said.  "We should be dry for Saturday and Sunday, with no rain in time for Halloween."

Afternoon high temperatures in Orlando will be close to the average of 83 degrees, checking in at 86 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"High temperatures will be right on target, at 83, on Thursday and Friday," Bridges said.

Saturday and Sunday will see a high of 84.

"Don't forget to set the clock back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night," said Bridges, noting that  Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday.
