Cold front to drop temperatures in Central Florida

Highs expected in mid-70s from Thursday through weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – There will be one more day in the mid-80s before a cold front arrives in Central Florida to flip the weather script.

"Rain chances are on the increase through the afternoon Wednesday, and you can expect a 30 percent coverage of afternoon showers and storms," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

High temperatures will be in the mid-70s from Thursday through the weekend.  The average high in Orlando for this time of year is 75 degrees.

Overnight lows will be in the low 60s.

Rain chances will be 40 percent on Thursday and Friday.

"By the weekend, the front that brings all of the rain will have cleared and we will only see a slight chance of rain Saturday and Sunday," Bridges said.
