Florida Highway Patrol said the road was affected at northbound SR 417 in Sanford at Lake Jesup milemarker 45 just after 3 p.m.

The rain continued to fall on Thursday a day after record-setting rains fell in Central Florida.

"Once again, we will be pinpointing rain through the day on Thursday," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

Rain chances will be as high as 70 percent off and on throughout the day.

"It will not rain all day all the time," Bridges said. "But some rain showers will be heavy at times into the afternoon."

On Wednesday, Orlando, Daytona Beach and Melbourne set rainfall records.

Afternoon high temperatures will be in the low and mid-70s across Central Florida on Thursday.

Temperatures will be in the upper 60s on Friday as a drier air works in, Bridges said.

Rain will be out of the picture altogether for the weekend, with highs in the low 70s.
