Showers continue into Thursday; temps barely break 70

Showers will continue Thursday with 80 percent chance of rain

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a record-breaking day of rain in Central Florida on Wednesday, the showers will continue Thursday.

Orlando International Airport picked up more than 1.52 inches, Melbourne had 0.74 inches and Daytona Beach had a whopping 2.31 inches. All were records set on Wednesday.

Thursday will see an 80 percent chance of rain. The high will struggle to reach 71.

Things will improve Friday. The sky clears to partly cloudy, though the high temperature will only be about 65.

Saturday will warm to a high of 68. Then Sunday the temperature zooms to 73.

The next chance of rain after Thursday won't come back around until next Wednesday.
