Beautiful weather on hand for central Florida

Weather great all weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain is not in the forecast until late Sunday giving central Florida a great weekend with mild temperatures and clear skies.

It’s a great day for the Rolex 24 at the new and improved Daytona Speedway in Daytona. Mild temperatures and no rain will give race spectators a great day outdoors.

High pressure is in command over the weekend, keeping the really cold temperatures to the north of Florida. The high will move to the east and out into the Atlantic late Sunday changing the direction of the wind to the northwest off the Atlantic bumping up the humidity level a notch or two.

When the high is moving across the state, you will see slight cloud coverage with the high on Saturday reaching 72 degrees. There are no boating advisories along the coast so boaters will have a great day as well.

The overnight temperatures for Saturday night will see the Orlando dropping down to the low 50s and areas to the north will drop to the upper 40’s. The coastal areas will drop to the mid-50s.

On Monday the week will bring temperatures back to the 80 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain. We will see this warming trend continue with the temperatures staying around 80 degrees and a chance of rain until Thursday where the high should only reach 60 degrees with a 50 percent chance of rain.

So if you are heading to the beach or to the races, you should have one of the best weather days we’ve had in a while.  Enjoy!
