Nice, breezy day follows cool start in Central Florida

High of 72 expected in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a cool start, another nice day is forecast for Central Florida.

"High pressure continues to dominate the forecast for the next couple days. Expect breezy conditions Thursday afternoon, with a high of 72," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Winds will gust out of the north-northeast at 25 mph. Those winds will continue to reinforce dry, stable air and that will lead to lots of sunshine."

The average high in Orlando on this date is 74 degrees.

Conditions in Daytona Beach will be a little bit breezy for qualifying Thursday night, and rain will not be a factor.

"The weekend looks good and dry for all of the festivities at the Daytona 500 and all of the other races going on at the speedway," Bridges said.

Expect high temperatures in the low 70s in Daytona Beach for Saturday and Sunday.

Afternoon high temperatures Saturday and Sunday in Orlando and much of an earl conditions in Daytona Beach will be a little bit breezy for qualifying on Thursday night the rain will not be a factor.

The weekend looks good and drive for all of the festivities at the Daytona 500 and all of the other races going on at the speedway.

Expect high temperatures in the low 70s in Daytona Beach on Saturday and Sunday.

Afternoon high temperatures Saturday and Sunday in Orlando and much of inland Central Florida will be in the mid-70s.

Afternoon highs will reach the upper 70s for the start of the workweek, and rain chances return Tuesday.
