Cool down underway after day of severe weather threat


The threat of severe weather is gone for Wednesday evening and a cool down is underway.

"Wind tonight will be from the West from 10 to 20 mph," said News 6 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells. "Those winds will usher in much cooler overnight lows."In Ocala we drop to 44, in Orlando the low will be 51, in Melbourne we drop to 52.

On Thursday, the wind keeps pushing and the high in Orlando gets back to only 68 degrees, Sorrells said.

The lows on Thursday night will drop in to the low to mid-40s.

The high for Friday will be a cool 64 degrees.
