Cold weather shelters to open in Brevard

Weekend weather looks great in Central Florida

Cold night shelters will be open on Friday night in Brevard County as temperatures drop around Central Florida.

Overnight lows will be in the 40s over the weekend throughout Central Florida. The National Weather Service shows the forecast for Friday with low temperatures at around 38 degrees in Brevard County.

  • His Place Ministries, 1842 South Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne. 321-674-9009. Shelter opens at 8 p.m. and closes Saturday at 6 a.m. Meals will be served.
  • Central Brevard Sharing Center, 113 Aurora Street, Cocoa. 321-631-0306 Shelter opens at 6 p.m. and closes at 6 a.m. Saturday. Meals will be served
  • Our Savior (Cold Night Ministries), 5301 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach. 321-544-1684. Shelter opens at 8 p.m. and closes at 7 a.m. Saturday. Meals will be served.

Afternoon high temperatures will reach 67 degrees on Saturday and 74 degrees on Sunday.
