High temps soar above average in Central Florida

Rain chances increase in Orlando over weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – Abundant sunshine is expected Thursday in Central Florida.

"Once again, high pressure will dominate the forecast for the next couple of days, leading to sunshine and warm temperatures across the region," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

High temperatures will warm into the mid- to upper 80s across Central Florida.

The high in Orlando will be 86 degrees. The average afternoon high in Orlando on this date is 77.

Winds will be out of the southeast, gusting to 30 mph.

"Those winds will bring in warm air and a few clouds off and on," Bridges said.

Temperatures will stay in the mid-80s through the weekend.

A new front brings rain chances of 20 percent on Saturday and 50 percent on Sunday.
