Much-needed rain moves toward Central Florida

Rain chance at 70 percent

ORLANDO, Fla. – Clouds and moisture return in abundance on Sunday resulting in a 70 percent chance of rain, especially after 2 p.m.

Some storms are expected Sunday afternoon moving in from the west off of the Gulf of Mexico. These heavy rains will not affect everyone as they will be scattered in coverage. Expect another warm Sunday with temperatures ranging from 84 degrees in Orlando, Melbourne and Daytona Beach for the last day of Bike Week and the TiCo Warbird Air Show. Rain chances Sunday are 70 percent.

Rain chances go down to 20 percent by 7p.m. Sunday as temperatures also drop to 66 degrees in Holly Hill to 68 degrees in Ocoee to 69 degrees in Palm Bay.

Cloudy conditions and a 20 percent chance of rain continue into Monday. Warm temperatures also continue with 87 degrees expected in the interior.

Tuesday through Thursday remain quiet but warm. Rain returns to the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
