First day of spring brings scattered showers

Cooler, drier air moves in Sunday night

ORLANDO, Fla. – Our first strong spring front arrived Sunday afternoon. Ahead of it was a few scattered showers under mostly cloudy skies during the early part of Sunday.

Once the front clears Sunday night, cooler and drier air will filter in behind it. Sunday night lows will dip into the low 50s with highs Monday and Tuesday remaining below average in the mid to low 70s. This will be a nice change to temperatures, as Orlando has been above the 80-degree mark for the past 11 days.

We will see a beautiful start to the work week with mainly dry conditions and plenty of spring sunshine.

The only main threat early next week will be the strong gusty winds that will help to deteriorate marine conditions. Winds will pick up from the north-north west between 15-20 mph.
