Temperatures soar in Central Florida

Orlando to see high of 88 degrees

ORLANDO, Fla. – Temperatures will continue to soar above the average high in Central Florida.

"The big weather story remains the heat," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Expect a high of 88 on Wednesday in Orlando."

The average afternoon high on this date in Orlando is 84 degrees. Record highs are in the upper 90s.

"We are pinpointing the east- and west-coast sea breezes Wednesday," Bridges said. "As the afternoon approaches, a few showers will pop up as the sea breezes come together, mainly after 2 o'clock."

Rain chances will be at 20 percent through Friday.

High temperatures will continue upward over the next few days, with a high of 90 degrees on Friday.

"Afternoon high temperatures will stay near 90 for the weekend," Bridges said.
