"We will be pinpointing a few afternoon scattered storms at 30 percent," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Rain chances come into play mainly after 2 o'clock as the east- and west-coast sea breezes begin to develop."

The coverage of rain will not be widespread, but there will be a few scattered storms with lightning and thunder, as well as some heavy downpours, Bridges said.

"The main story for the next several days will continue to be the heat," Bridges said.

Expect a high of 91 degrees on Friday and Saturday, with a high near 90 on Sunday.

Rain chances will be at 20 percent Saturday and 10 percent Sunday.

"We will see increasing rain by the middle of next week," Bridges said.
