Storms pop up in Central Florida

Rain expected through weekend in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – A day after some areas of Central Florida received up to 4 inches of rain, more storms dropped rain on the region.

"Expect more sea breeze storms to develop into the afternoon on Friday, Saturday and Sunday," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Rain chances will be at 60 percent through Sunday."

Expect storms to develop into the afternoon hours, with most of them below severe limits, Bridges said.

High temperatures will be in the mid-90s for the next several days.

"Rain chances will be a little lower by the Fourth of July on Monday at 40 percent," he said. "By the time the fireworks go off around 9 p.m. Monday, rain chances will drop to 20 percent."
