Late-day showers helped drop the temperature

High in Orlando was 95

ORLANDO, Fla. – The late-day showers helped drop the temps for those who were lucky enough to get the rain.

But the hot day was extreme all over before the rain arrived.

The high in Orlando made it to 95 that missed the record of 98 from 1980 by 3 degrees.

Tonight the showers will last in pockets mostly north and  east of Orlando into Volusia and Brevard counties along the sea-breeze boundary.

Later tonight we drop to a low of 77 in Orlando.

Tomorrow we do it again. The high will be 96 in Orlando. The record is 97 from 2000. If we don't hit the record, we will get very close.
