When will cooldown hit Central Florida?

Lows dip into 50s over weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida will see another day in the mid-80s, but a cooldown is on the way.

"We are pinpointing a little bit of patchy fog across Central Florida on Thursday morning," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "A couple of light sprinkles along the coast can't be ruled out as moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere as well as the mid-levels is increasing ahead of a new front."

Throughout Thursday, expect a lot of sunshine, with rain chances at 10 percent.

Expect a high of 84 in Orlando. The average high on this date is Orlando is 81.

"We're warming to 80 on Friday, but only the upper 70s through the weekend, with morning lows in the 50s as a new front moves in," Bridges said.

The front will bring a 20 percent coverage of rain Friday and a 30 percent coverage of rain early Saturday.

Meanwhile, Daylight Saving Time ends early Sunday.

"Remember to change your clocks before bed Saturday night," Bridges said.
