Warming trend continues Sunday in Central Florida

Temperatures expected to return to high 70s

ORLANDO, Fla. – There was a chilly start to the day Saturday, but clear skies and lots of sunshine made for a pretty December day with one caveat: It was a little windy, but comfortable.

Those windy conditions will ratchet down a little Saturday night, but it will still be breezy. Temperatures will moderate too.

Overnight lows will range from 56 degrees in Orlando to 51 degrees in Ocala to 64 degrees in Melbourne. More clouds will move in also as the moisture levels begin to rise on northeast and east winds.

Some small and light showers are possible along the Atlantic coast line, and prevailing winds from the east bring sea showers to the shoreline.

A warming trend continues Sunday as temperatures return to the high 70s areawide. There is a 20 percent chance of rain, especially in the morning.

Nighttime temperatures remain mild as they return to the 60s.

The next cold front will arrive about Thursday and will only drop temperatures about 5 degrees and back to the mid-70s.
