Above-average temperatures, little rain expected this week

Use extreme caution if burning this week, Danny Treanor suggests

ORLANDO, Fla. – A warm start to the week is forecast for Central Florida.

"As winds die down, fog will likely form in some low areas Monday morning," News 6 meteorologist Danny Treanor said. "Plan on giving yourself extra time for driving."

Skies will become partly cloudy in the afternoon, Treanor said.

"There will still be a 20 percent chance of rain in the forecast and temperatures will be over 80 degrees in most places," he said.

For the remainder of the week, temperatures will be higher than normal, reaching the mid-80s.

"That will change come Thursday, however, when a weak cool front drops high temperatures into the 70s," Treanor said. "There's not a lot of rain expected in the upcoming week. Be careful with any and all burning, including cigarettes."
