Temperatures to reach 80s in many locations

ORLANDO, Fla. – There was a chilly start Saturday that became a rather nice day with abundant sunshine and mild temperatures.

Highs on Saturday were in the 70s areawide, but a brisk wind added a little discomfort.

Overnight will not be as cold with temperatures ranging from 51 degrees in Ocala to 58 degrees in Orlando and 57 degrees in Melbourne. Winds will become light to calm, increasing the chance of morning fog.

2017's first day will be sunny and warm with temperatures reaching the 80s in many locations.

By Monday and Tuesday, a new cold front bring a 40 percent chance of much-needed rain to the forecast.

No major cold snap is expected for the remainder of the week.
