'Picture perfect' Friday forecast

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida continues to see beautiful weather wrapping up the workweek and into Saturday but things change Sunday, News 6 meteorologist Candice Campos said.

Seeing temperatures about 15 degrees above average for January Central Florida’s high will be 84 degrees around 4 p.m. Friday.

The weather will be nice and dry for the Monster Jam event in Orlando Saturday. High temperatures will be between 81 and 83 degrees.

On the coast, there is a low risk of rip currents and the ocean is 61 degrees.

Campos called the beach conditions  “picture perfect.”

Sunday, things change as Central Florida will see some severe weather, including rain.

Storm chances increase after 1 p.m. Sunday with a risk for isolated severe storms.

Next week, temperatures will cool down to about average, Campos said.
